The LinkedIn EAFS2012 group is welcoming discussions. We created a LinkedIn group 'EAFS2012' and recently we welcomed the 100th member of the group.

Summer School on Forensic Genomics in conjunction with EAFS2012
The Forensic Genomics Consortium Netherlands (FGCN) will organise a School in Forensic Genomics in the week preceding the EAFS2012. FGCN represents an alliance of three Dutch institutions involved in forensic genetics. The Summer School will be held from Thursday, 16 August until Saturday, 18 August 2012 at the premises of the Netherlands Forensic Institute in The Hague.

Interest by Sponsors
Organising a conference like EAFS2012 is impossible without the support of sponsors. Therefore, it is encouraging to see that the interest for sponsoring is enormous. The 10 major sponsor positions (Platinum – Gold – Silver – Bronze) were already sold out in October 2011.

Joint ENFSI board meeting with the ENFSI Working Group chairs
On December 1–2, 2011 the Chairs of the ENFSI Expert Working Group (EWG) met with the ENFSI Board at the annual, so-called Joint Meeting. The meeting took place at the Netherlands Forensic Institute in The Hague.

Interest in EAFS2012
From the start in May 2010, the EAFS2012 website offered the possibility for potential attendees to leave their name and email address to be included on the conference mailing list.

New website EAFS2012 launched
We proudly present the new version of the EAFS2012 website. This version replaces the previous, static version which served since May 2010. The upgraded website will be the dynamic centre of information and communication regarding all aspects of EAFS2012. In the course of the forthcoming months more detailed information will be published.
